In a move that will free up almost $1.9 million in cap space, the Panthers cut safety Thomas DeCoud today.

DeCoud signed a 2-year $3.525 million deal last off-season, but was eventually benched for rookie Tre Boston. He had only one interception and two passes defended in 2014.
