Deal that Would Send Lance Stephenson to Nets Reportedly “Dead”

And the speculation continues…

After EVERYONE was discussing a Lance Stephenson abrupt ending in Charlotte and homecoming in Brooklyn yesterday, the Charlotte Observer’s Rick Bonnell is reporting that the Nets have pulled out and trade talks are “dead.”

The Hornets, Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder were discussing a deal that would have sent Stephenson to the Nets, Brook Lopez to the Thunder and various parts to the Hornets. It appeared close Thursday night, but the Nets pulled back Friday, putting any discussions on hold.

The Nets have multiple options involving Lopez. It’s still likely they will move him.

And let the trade drama continue… This uncertainty surely isn’t good for a Hornets team that looks to make a run at the playoffs.
