I’m not a gambler, but I do know people will bet about almost anything. Now, the online gambling company Bovada is not only allowing fans to bet on this weekend’s football games, but also the ratings they’ll generate.

I think this is a great idea. As you can see from the photo, the Green Bay market is favored to win and rightfully so, but that doesn’t mean they’ll walk away with it. If the Seahawks start blowing the Packers out, chances are their fans will start tuning out. Also, prime-time games usually get better ratings and the Colts and Patriots play at 6:40 pm, but considering all that, I’d still pick Green Bay. It will be interesting to see how many people participate in this prop-bet.
