Carolina Panthers Donate Furniture to Local Habitat ReStores (Video)

If you are a Panthers fan working on putting together your ultimate Fancave in time for next season, you’ll be excited to hear about this.

The Carolina Panthers are remodeling the 158 luxury suites at Bank of America Stadium and have decided to donate the old furniture to local Habitat for Humanity ReStores.  The response has been described as “crazy,” as donated items have already been sold at the ReStore on Wendover Rd. in Charlotte.

The response bordered on “crazy,” said Phil Prince of Habitat Charlotte.

“People have been like locusts,” he said. “We had stuff tagged as sold, and other people were ripping off the tags and buying it. It’s pandemonium. … It’s like they’ve hit the lottery. They’re buying everything.”

The 1,024 pieces of furniture are estimated to fetch $75,000, which will go directly to the Habitat for Humanity Charity.
