After practice today, Cam Newton addressed the media for the first time since his serious car accident, where he continued to express a feeling of gratitude to the “man upstairs” for sparing his life.

As far as when he’s coming back? Newton says that’s the last thing on his mind.

In addition to thanking his fans for their support, Newton wrote a heartfelt message of forgiveness and love on his Instagram last night. A timetable for his return has not been released, although is expected that he will play against the Browns next week.
