Finally professional athletes are finding a voice outside of sports and there are many who want to detract them from using their power to call for change. When asked how he felt about NBA players wearing “I Can’t Breathe” shirts during pregame warm-ups NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had this to say.
On 'I Can't Breathe,' shirts, Adam Silver tells Yahoo: "I respect Derrick Rose and all of our players for voicing their personal views…"

Adam Silver continued: "…on important issues but my preference would be for players to abide by our on-court attire rules."

Adam Silver should be VERY careful with where he’s going here and despite his preference, I doubt they face any consequences for choosing to wear the shirts.
