Report: Everyone On Hornets’ Trade List Except Kemba Walker & Al Jefferson

Portland Trail Blazers v Charlotte Hornets

4-14 wasn’t how the new-look Hornets were supposed to start this season.  Charlotte was supposed to build on their previous playoff season – finally winning a playoff game and maybe even a series.   But right now, simply having a winning record would be nice.

With the team struggling on defense and offense, Grantland  has reported that everyone on the team except Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson are being shopped as trade bait.

The Hornets have been aggressive making trade calls, according to sources across the league.

The Hornets are searching for upgrades on the wing and at power forward, per those sources, and they are willing to talk turkey on basically anyone other than Kemba Walkerand Al Jefferson.

Is this a panic move?  Are things so bad that even newly signed Lance Stephenson can be traded this early in the season?  What message does this send to the team?  Will any shocking trades happen?  I could go on and on with the questions and that’s not a good thing.  We’ll see how this is handled in the coming months, but as I’ve said before, it only takes a string of a few wins to turn things around.  The question is, are the Hornets good enough to put one together?
