College sports is a multibillion dollar a year industry, where it seems like everyone is making money except the athletes on the field or court. With today’s rapidly changing sports environment, where college athletes are winning lawsuits that will allow them to profit off of their names and likenesses, the big question now becomes, should athletes be paid based on their fair market value?  Should they be able to share in the millions of profit made off of them?  Should they be able to eat at the table they set?

A panel of sports professionals including: ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas, former Tar Heel and NFL player Dre Bly, Big South Conference Commissioner Kyle Kallander, ESPNU college football analyst and former NFL player Jason Sehorn and Davidson College President Carol Quillen, discussed the pros and cons of paying college athletes.

Surprisingly, Jay Bilas was the only pay for play advocate, but all agreed that the current system is flawed and needs to be fixed.
