Hornets Give Bullying Awareness Education at Cool School Game

Today was the Charlotte Hornets’ Cool School game, which served as a reward and reprieve for nearly 15 thousand middle school students, teachers and administrators who showed exemplary performance inside and outside of the classroom.

The event, sponsored by the Hornets and Jordan Brand, used the opportunity to educate students on the consequences of bullying. The theme of the day was “Too Cool to Bully.”  Students in attendance received a workbook to complete during the game and each went home with a flash drive preloaded with information on bullying awareness, education and prevention.

Great event and a great way to reward and encourage academic excellence.

Unfortunately, the Hornets, who lost to the Pistons 104-84, didn’t put on much of a show for the kids.
