The Charlotte Hornets have added some depth to their front court with the signing of free agent forward Jason Maxiell.
Maxiell played with the Orlando Magic last season, where he averaged 3.2 points per game and 2.5 rebounds. The previous eight seasons of his nine year career were spent with the Detroit Pistons.
Details of the contract were not released.
The Hornets will take 18 players into their training camp that starts tomorrow in Ashville, NC.
